ONE MORE COAT TO GO!!

I'm wrapping this project up!! I just finished my first coat of gloss white and I think one more tomorrow will do the trick!
I think it all went fairly well. A couple of my corners didn't meet up exactly as I wished. The perfectionist in me wanted them all to line up perfectly, but the good ole caulk gun did the trick and hid all imperfections very well!

I do have one more short box to do under the picture window, but I ran out of moulding. That just gives me a good excuse to make another trip to Lowes.

In my wildest dreams I would have never imagined tackling a project like this. I just never imagined myself using big, scary, finger severing, man tools!! I owe it all to you! Yes, you know who you are. All of you wonderful, talented and inspiring ladies out there in blog land!! If it weren't for you, I would still be whining and begging the hubby to do this project for me. So, thank you ladies!! I am inspired daily by all of your talents and creativity!!
Have a fabulous weekend!!
p.s.- and I still have all my fingers!!

Jen...That turned out amazing!
You are much braver than I am. I can't measure worth a darn, and I am scared to death to try my hand at using one of the "men tools"! I am so proud of you!
You may have just inspired me to try my hand at something like that!

It's so great when you can do a project without a man's help. Good for you, it looks fantastic. And I'm really glad you still have all your fingers!

Oh, I am so glad you still have all your fingers! When I see power saws, I visualize detached fingers on the table. In addition, the sound terrifies me.
Your room is so pretty...cannot wait to see the whole remodel. Kudos to ya'.

Wow, wow, WOW! You are AMAZING! I love how it turned out, too! You did a fantastic job! :) I need to ask you...this is one of those things I have wanted to do in our house for a long time. I have heard you use picture frame moulding for it; is this true? When we went to look for it, even my very handy husband thought it was the wrong stuff. Anyway, I am just curious if you could let me know if we have the right stuff. It IS called picture frame moulding, but it looks like the flat edge will be sticking out rather strange-like...am I making any sense? I think I'm probably not! :)

But let me honestly say, that I am so impressed by your trim work~ it really is so beautiful! :) Have a good night!

That molding looks absolutely beautiful! You are much more ambitious than I am. I'm definately not brave enough to do something like this on my own! I would just ask my Prince to "help" me with it! Hee, hee, hee!

Great job!

Have a great day!!!
