My baby is eight years old today!! What better way to celebrate than a day out on the town shopping!
She is a penny pincher...let me tell ya! She had birthday money that I thought was burning a hole in her little pocket.

She proved me wrong!! She didn't spend a dime, but we sure had fun looking!

Every year I let the kids decide what cake they would like me to make. This year the girl chose something simple. There have been years that I have spent hours on more elaborate the barbie one I nearly threw across the room, or the pirate ship I almost smashed with my fist!. This one only took me an hour or so. I suppose if I would splurge and buy the proper tools it wouldn't take me so long. I use plastic sandwich bags to pipe on the frosting. I just cut a hole at the end and hold the decorators tip on the best I can. Anyhow, the girl picked daisies and added them to the top. Creative little thing she is. I think it turned out sweet!

A sweet cake for an extra sweet little girl!! Happy Birthday Sweetie pie!! I love you!
