WINDOW BOXES ON A BUDGET

Happy Memorial day everyone! I'm sure many of you are enjoying the beautiful sunshine and getting all of your flowers planted. I know many of us are struggling with tighter budgets these days. I wasn't even sure if I would plant flowers in my boxes this year. Then I came up with this. I bought one hanging basket of geraniums and cut it down the center. I added some vines from the yard to fill in the gaps and voila! I think it looks pretty good and it cost less than $15. We have been so busy here with boys and baseball, end of the school year activities, and that new and very naughty puppy!! Wishing you all a Happy Memorial weekend!!!!

I love your boxes....I too used garden vines to get more bang for my buck!!
Here's a tip....Most every year I buy the biggest Spider Plant I can find & root the "babies" as they root quickly. Then I put them in & among the flowers in the boxes. They fill & spill fast!!
Stop by my blog for my Summer GiveAway!!

To add to Marilyn's write, spider plants always separate easily & hold over nicely indoors during the winter for reuse outdoors in the spring.

G'day, Jen, have missed you, also. Your window boxes are wonderful.

Have a beautiful week.
