SPRING HAPPENINGS

We added some fruit trees to our property this weekend.
Two pear and three apple.

We are looking forward to having our own fresh fruit to preserve for the winter months. I'm anxious to see if we get any this summer.

Hubby was hard at work digging the holes while I sat my wimpy but inside. It was to cold for me!! I kept busy inside. Actually, I about drove myself to drink working on crown moulding for the kitchen cabinets. I thought it would be a piece of cake...not so much!!! Let's just say...it was a good thing the kids were at Grandmas, because the words flyin from my mouth were not so lady like!!

We had our annual Easter egg hunt at Grams and Gramps Saturday.
We started doing this when the kids were toddlers. I look at them now and wonder where the time has gone??!!

Can you tell the boy loves his picture taken.

The oldest helps the girl count her loot.

Yes, It was another eventful weekend in our neck of the woods. The kids spent the weekend at Gramps and Grams, so hubby and I were able to get some things done. That includes relaxing, eating(lots), and watching a couple movies. Still waiting for some WARM spring weather!!
Hope everyone is well!!
Jen

seems like a wonderful time you and hubby got there, aside from the biting cold. but all in all, its great!
i love trees, especially the fruit bearing one. not only do they give shelter and fruits, they help the green house effect too. can't you plant more?

Hi Jen~
That will be wonderful to be able to grow your own fruit! :) I am also excited for you about your new crown moulding in your kitchen! I have heard this can be tricky...you are very brave to try this on your own! :)

Okay, WOW LOOK AT THE SIZE OF YOUR YARD!!! I love it! Makes me want to run and do cartwheels. Hmm, I wonder if I still can?
It's my hope to plant a plum tree one day but I'm not holding my breath. We've got neighbors with apple and nectarine trees and right now, they are all abloom. Oh, and the orange trees are blooming too!
Your kids are beautiful, but I know you all ready know that! Hope you enjoyed your "couple" time with your hubbey. Isn't it nice to just have time to reconnect and enjoy each other?
