FEELING BLUE?

Well....I did it. Yip, it's blue indeed. I spent five hours painting on Sunday and I have not been this sore since...well I can't remember when!! I must have used muscles that I never even knew that I had.

My very sweet neighbor brought over some historic paint colors that she had used in her old farm house. I took the blue paint that I had and mixed it with white to match it as closely as I could to the color blue she gave me. It is definitely a drastic change from the garden shed green. When I had the room half painted I absolutely loved it. When it was totally finished I hated it!! Everyone else in the house loves it, so I have decided to live with it for awhile and see if it grows on me.
I stole things from other parts of the house to fill in the blank wall space. Black and whites from downstairs and the curtains from the living room. I'm always shoppin around the house...movin this and that!

I'm going to look for a blue and beige fabric to coordinate with my striped blue and beige panels. Then I will make a valance for this window. Maybe...even trim the window out. Hint hint to Hubs!!

Thrifted plates to fill in more wall space. I'm itchin to do some wainscot in here too.

I'll be painting all the trim around the floor white.

That's what I have been up to here in my neck of the woods. I'll be poppin in later to see what all you ladies have been up too. Now...I'm off to pick up the oldest from baseball.
Hope everyone is having a great week !!
Jen

I love the blue! Give it some time. Often I am not sure about a color after spending days painting. I think your kitchen is very cheerful with the white cabinets. Great job!

Oh I love it! Definitely live with it for a bit and see how you feel. I know sometimes when we change things around here, it takes me a bit to adjust to it. Great job!

I LOVE IT! It is so clean and relaxing. Looks great with your cabinets. I am upgrading my kitchen and just added bead board. It would look great in your kitchen.:) Madeline

Oh I think it looks very nice! Sorry for the sore muscles. Painting always kills my neck but it is always worth it.

I think that's a beautiful color. I do not take kindly to change, of any kind! LOL I always have to give myself a few days for things to "settle" in before I know if I like something.

Have a great day, Denise

I love that shade of blue. I've been thinking about repainting the bathroom blue, but I haven't been able to find just the right shade yet. The shade you used is beautiful.

I love it! The color is rather soothing. Give it time. It took time for my "yellow" that's in my kitchen, living/dining area to grow on me.
Love the plates on the wall. I had something like that in my dining room way back when but now I'm putting plates together for one of my kitchen walls.
